20 MORE DAYS
is a Kenyan alternative pop/rock band with an African twist, made up of Simon Peter Okumu on the rhythm guitar and Vocals. Acoustive Anariko on the bass and Jazzy Jr on lead guitar. 20 More Days was originally formed in 2012 by Simon Peter Okumu while still in university, where they went with the name Simon Peter Cold and later changed it to 20MoreDays in 2013. They performed in clubs and
restaurants around Nakuru .
After completing University Simon Peter Okumu moved to Nairobi, joined Sauti Academy – an artist development program in 2015. There he met Acoustive Anariko and Jazzy Jr. 20MoreDays are currently working on an Album with Andromeda Music (Nick Wathi) the first song of the Album is About The Money . Crystal Axis is a Nairobi based five-piece afropunk band that has been at the forefront of the Kenyan rock scene since its inception in 2009.
Their debut E.P State of Unease was released in 2012. Subsequently, the band went on hiatus as the only to make their highly anticipated return to the Kenyan rock scene in 2017 with their electrifying hit single Leopold.
The band has left its mark on the local Kenyan rock scene and they are often referred to as the godfathers of Kenyan punk. Their music has also garnered attention internationally and they have been featured in the likes of Afropunk, Konbini, OkayAfrica etc. More recently, UK based The Wire magazine featured the band in their June-July edition.
