Ken Baro is versatile in his art mixing his Luhya traditional texture to Raggae vibes to Rhumba and Afropop/hiphop with Native chants that make up his POROTA self-proclaimed style.
Originally from Bungoma, Ken Baro got spotted by Kidum and joined BodaBoda band after some time exploring the music scene in Nairobi. In the Boda Boda band he served as reggae singer and hypeman for 5 years when he chose to get back to studio.
Ken Baro received the attention and has worked with the cream of Kenyan and opened stage for the likes of Ali Kiba at Koroga festival,for Sauti sol and Diamond platinumz at a Safaricom private party. He wowed fans at the SawaSawa festival,Sondeka festival under the mentorship of his close friend the great Kidum.
In 2019 started working together on a major project with producer Wawesh Mjanja that is set to define his career and a new Kenyan sound.
